Welcome to The Grace Team Website!

Popayan 2012 Feb. 22 - March 3

We are going to Popayan Feb.22-March 3. Tommy Tiffin, Cheryl Bingemer, Marvin Terrell, Duane Dougherty, and myself are committed. Mike & Shari Salyer are probable, Allen Hom is probable, Obadiah Okeson is praying. Maybe God is calling you.

We are working on Sunday School rooms for a fast growing church 'Jesus is the Solution' yes He is!!!!!!!!!!!

Boyce will tell me soon what work we should expect, but they have been moving forward with the project over the last few months. This journey will be both a blessing to those we help and a spiritual blessing for us that go. We can all use blessings as well as be a blessing to others. Pray that God will lead those He is calling to go on this journey.

Boyce and I have chosen dates for the next Popayan trip. Feb. 22-March 3. Boyce has been to Popayan and says the work is continuing, but still much work is needed. I have checked plane fares, and they are pretty high right now, but as God calls He will provide!!!
If you have never been to Popayan, it is an old Colonial city (4th oldest in all of South America), once the Capital of Colombia, rebuilt after a devestating earthquake in 1983, with much beauty and history. One of the church members there is a local historian, and has shared with us the rich history of the area.
Please pray that God will call a group (maybe you) for this spiritual journey. yiC Sam

Ana Mazuera 1929-2011

Ana Mazuera died in a clinic in Cali on October 29 at the age of 93, and her funeral was held in Cali Central C.P. Church on October 30. Ana was baptized as a young girl along with her sister and Rev. José Fajardo on the 4th of February 1929 which was the day of the organization of our first church in Colombia, Cali Central. She never married but she engaged herself in the ministry of teaching and evangelism. Ana had a compassion for the poor and did all she could for the poor children she taught. She was not only one of the founders of Cali Central Church but was also one of the founders of San Marcos School and Church.

Hogar Samaria is our senior citizens home and Ana spent the last eight years of her life there. She was a blessing to the residents and shared her earlier experiences with them. Please join with us in a prayer of thanksgiving for the life, faith and testimony of Ana Mazuera one of the pioneers of the C.P. Church in Colombia.
Those of The Grace Team who have gone with me to Colombia might remember Ana, her mind remained sharp even though in a wheel chair. She was especially good at Pollyana just ask Boyce.
